For many of us, being in a close relationship with another is one of our most challenging aspects of life. When things go wrong or we have difficulty in these intimate connections it can feel very painful, often confusing and even frightening to us. Counselling can offer a neutral safe space in which to air differences and viewpoints on what is happening between you both. My aim is not to advise you in how to proceed in your relating to but to help and support you both in finding a way through such difficulties that works for you both. To create a space in which you both feel your voice is heard.
Often my work with couples is shorter term – offering a ‘breathing space’ in your relationship and supporting you getting back on track in whatever way that might be.
